Cristine Reyes, real name Ara Christine Pascual Reyes, is an actor in the Philippines that was born in Marikina, Manila on February 5, 1989. Considered as one of the sexiest women in the Philippines by FHM magazine where she ranked number 1 in 2009.
She's the younger sister of Hazel Klenk pascual Reyes also known as Ara Mina, who is a former sexy actor, singer, model and now involved in politics. She studied at Quezon City in St.Bridget School, but later transfered to Roosevelt College.
She first appeared on TV as a contestant in the first season of GMA network's reality Pinoy TV show talent search "Starstruck" in 2003. Although she never won and was first female contestant to be eliminated, it paved way for her along with all the other contestants to get exposure, evidently landing them a contract deal with GMA as rising young talents in their network.
She first debut as an artist on TV in an episode of "Pira-Pirasong Pangarap" and followed it appearing on a couple of episodes in "Love to Love". Cristine also performs on GMA entertainment shows such as "SOP Gigsters" and "SOP Rules". Her first role in a TV series was "Click", a teen-oriented TV show, where she was casted along with the other contestants who joined Starstruck. She then was casted on a number GMA TV series such as "Hanggang Kailan", "Mulawin", "Darna", "Captain Barbell", "Super Twins", "Super Twins" and "MariMar".
After appearing for a number of GMA shows, she was getting lesser exposure and being overshadowed by other successful co-contestants in Starstruck. So she decided to tranfer to GMA's rival network ABS-CBN where she was being offered all primetime TV roles in 2008. She first was casted in a primetime TV show of ABS-CBN's "Kahit Isang Saglit" with a supporting role.
Her first main lead role in a primetime TV show is "Eva Fonda" where she became popular in Korea and was nominated "Best Actress" in the 2009 Seoul International Drama Awards that she attended. Although she never won, she still managed to grab special prize awards in her role.
She also appeared on ABS-CBN TV episodes for a number of times in "Maalaala Mo Kaya", "Precious Hearts Romances" and "Your Song" while also guest appearing on the primetime hit "May Bukas Pa". Cristine also hosted a number of TV entertainment shows in ABS-CBN such as "Wowowee", "ASAP 08", and "Banana Split".
