Angelica Panganiban, real name Angelica David Panganiban, born November 4, 1986 at Caloocan City Philippines, is a filipino actor. Growing up she never knew or even met her father. She was then raised by her mother Melania Panganiban and grandfather Alfredo Panganiban, who worked in Guam as a taxi operator. Considered by magazines such as FHM Philippines and Maxim Hot 100 as one of the sexiest women in the Philippines that was even ranked #1 in 2007.
She was a cheerleader and the feature newspaper editor of their school, where she graduated elementary and highschool at St. Vincent, Quezon City in 2003. In college, she graduated and majored in Mass Communication at Thames International Business School. She's also currently taking up Culinary Arts in Global City at Innovative College.
She started acting at an early age of 6, where she first regularly appeared on TV as a member of a gag-variety tv show "Ang TV" in ABS-CBN Network. She then appeared on a couple of Pinoy TV Shows such as ABS-CBN's "Familia Zaragoza" and "Kadenang Krystal" of GMA network. In her early years as a teen actor, she was casted in a couple of teen oriented tv shows such as "G-mik" and "Berks" in ABS-CBN.
As she was on the end of her teen years in acting, she appeared on different TV show episodes such as "Your Song", "Star Magic Presents", "Komiks Presents", "Love Spell" and recently starred in an episode of "MMK" in 2010. She also hosted the entertainment TV show "ASAP Fanatic" and currently hosting a couple of funny gag news show such as "Banana Split" and "Ntertainment News Na Naman" or simply called "NNNN".
She first appeared in primetime TV playing a role in "Vietnam Rose". Angelica also starred on different primitime tv shows such as "Rounin", "Maging Sino Ka Man", "Iisa Pa Lamang", "Ysabella", "Bandida" and currently stars in the filipino remake of the original Mexican hit telenovala "Rubi" that aired on February 15, 2010.
Angelica first appeared in the movie "Kadenang Bulaklak" playing a small role as a child. She then got a descent role in a couple of movies based on true story such as "The Cecilia Masagra Story:Antipolo Massacre" and "Lipa Arandia Massacre" movie based on real massacres that took place in Philippines. She also appeared in movies such as "Ang TV The Movie: Adarna Adventure", "Ang Pulubi at Ang Prinsesa", "Magandang Hatinggabi", "Baby O, Daddy O", "Tabi Tabi Po" during her early roles as a child actor.
She then won numerous "Best Child Actress" award from PMPC Star and FAMAS awards in her roles in movies such as "Separada", "Sarah, ang Munting Prinsesa", "Ama, Ina, Anak" and was nominated in "Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin". She was also nominated for in movies In the 1997 Guillermo Mendoza Foundation, where she won the Most Popular Child Star award. She also appeared in movies such as "Mila", "Jologs", "Dayo", "Tanging ina" playing teen roles.
On her comeback movie after being out in movies, she starred in a mature role in "Santa Santita" where she was nominated by FAMAS, FAP Luna, ENPRESS Golden Screen Awards as "Best Actress". She the followed it with movies such as "Mano Po", "All About Love", "White Lady", "Pitong Dalagita", " Matakot Ka Sa Karma", "A Love Story", "Manila" and her most recent movie "I Love You, Goodbye" in 2010.
