Megan Fox Casted on the New Pirates of the Carribean

Megan Fox Casted on the New Pirates of the CarribeanMegan Fox was all over Gossip News this past month about her not being casted in director Michael Bay's upcoming new movie Transformers 3. Megan, who was part of the first two sequel of the Transformers franchise, allegedly had criticized and bad mouth the director, some production cast and crews. Megan's spokesman announced that it was Megan's own choice to be not part of the Transformers third installment.

It was well publicized and hyped up by the media, and some say leading her exile in the third franchise production, even though according to her representatives, she left the movie having good terms with everyone in the movie production. For some people, they thought it marked the beginning of Megan's career downfall. But it turns out, it was just speculations, as she was recently casted to another box office franchise movie giant in Walt Disney's latest installment of The Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides.

As soon as Disney's production executives were looking for a very sexy actor that would play a sexy mermaid role, she thought of it as the perfect role for her. Also, the fact she is a huge Johnny Depp fan who plays the role of Captain Jack Sparrow whom she will seduce in the film, made her more determined to be casted. She even told friends that she's so determined that she will do everything to land this role.

According to Megan, she's very grateful for being part of the first two Transformers sequel, for allowing her the opportunity and exposure to built her name in the movie industry. She said she's ready to move on and is desperate to be working with Johnny Depp whom she loved and idolized as an actor. The new installment of the Pirates of the Carribean would not be casting former stars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. The movie is said to open next year where Megan will also co-star with another sexy actor and an Academy Award winner Penelope Cruz.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Movie

Prince of Persia The Sands of Time MovieThe Sands of Time is an upcoming and latest buzz Online Movie this 2010. It is based on the very popular action adventure fantasy video game that is developed and released by Ubisoft Montreal in 2003. The film is starred by Jake Gyllenhaal playing as the Persian Prince Dastan. It was written by Boaz Yakin, Jordan Mechner, Carlo Bernard, and Doug Miro directed by Mike Newell, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

It's a PG-13 rating by the MPAA due to it's intense sequences of violence and action , the only fourth film under a Walt Disney Pictures with that rating. The movie release of "The Sands of Time" would be followed by a couple of sequel namely "Warrior Within" and "The Two Thrones" both of which were video game sequels to the original "The Sands of Time" video game.

Jerry Bruckheimer Films already sought to acquire the feature film rights of the 2003 video game from Ubisoft and to be distributed by Walt Disney Pictures in early March 2004. Executive producer John August and Jordan Mechner, Prince of Persia series' creator were both hired to write the script for the film. The Pirates of the Caribbean film trilogy which was also produced by Jerry Bruckheimer served as a touchstone on how the environment of the film would be converted for the film franchise.

"Rather than do a straight beat-for-beat adaptation of the new videogame, we're taking some cool elements from the game and using them to craft a new story." said Jordan Mechner, who first considered producing this as an animated film version but couldn't resist Disney and Bruckheimer's offer. Mechner re-conceived the storyline in writing the script to shift the perspective of video gamers experience to a non-interactive experience as a film audience.

Disney will release a graphic novel that will serve as a prequel to the film called "Prince of Persia: Before the Sandstorm" along with other merchandise such as action figures, sets, costumes and a replica Dagger Of Time. Also, Ubisoft Montreal will release alongside the film, the developed video game entitled "Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands" which unrelated to the film but serves as a midquel for the first two games in the Sands of Time trilogy.

Prince of Persia will be released step by step as part of Disney's marketing strategy. It would first premiere in Europe that will be held in Westfield, London UK in May 9, 2010 then on May 19, 2010 in France, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands and on May 20, 2010 in Germany. It will be released on May 21, 2010 in the United Kingdom and on May 28, 2010 in the United States in order to profit by higher viewer numbers on Memorial Day weekend.

Avatar 2 would have Release Date Soon

Avatar 2 would have Release Date SoonAvatar 2 production have been promised by James Cameron for the past months now. A number of hints were even dropped, including a rumored aquatic environment setup to be to be installed in the second sequel of Avatar.

This is totally a feasible theory knowing James Cameron’s obsession in Aquatic Life, spending millions submarines running around the ocean. Although most Avatar fans think that the blue cat people were done primarily because of the 3D technology, truth is his interest in that format was because of his passion in photographing underwater life. So Avatar 2 taking place Undertwater is definitely not a long shot but indeed a very close one.

“Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment – a different setting within Pandora. And I’m going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won’t be a rain forest. I’m not saying we won’t see what we’ve already seen; we’ll see more of that as well.” Cameron said in LA Times interview.

Cameron's Avatar 2 plan is to go oceanic. While the third installment, may possibly leaving the Pandora world entirely. “We created a broad canvas for the environment of film. That’s not just on Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system. And we expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story – not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film.” said Cameron.

Knowing Cameron for loving to prove people wrong, he did say to skeptics that Avatar 2 will definitely have a release date within the next few months. Avatar 2 is estimated to be done in a span of 3 years according to Cameron. Although having a release date doesn't necessarily mean any guarantee of the Avatar 2 production. Studios are still quiet and giving out no statement regarding the release, since they are still waiting for the actual production before jumping into any conclusion.

Producer Jon Landau, said less than a month ago that Cameron is considering making other film project before eventually creating the sequel to Avatar. If it's that's the case, let's just hope that it won't take another 10 years before we could see the new Pandora. The elusive release date may give us clue on what's Cameron's mind is headed next.
